DAIRY GOATS AND CHEESEMAKING BASICS
WITH MARGOT SCHWARZ
Come learn all about dairy goat husbandry and how to make fresh chèvre cheese! As a class, students will make and take home fresh chèvre flavored to their choosing, after learning about the milking cycle of goats and getting to know some Nubian does. Come prepared with clothes that can get dirty, an 8oz jar to take home your chèvre, and eager to learn all about how wonderful dairy goats are.



Class Details
Age Requirement: this class is for adults and youth 16+. Please note: participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian also registered for the class to participate.
Location: Greenbelt Land Trust's Bald Hill Farm
Students bring: clothes that can get dirty, water bottle, 8oz clean glass jar.
Accessibility note: some hand strength helpful.
