GOAT MILK SOAP MAKING

Join us for a goat milk soap making workshop designed for beginners where you'll learn the art, science, and traditional craft of making your own goat milk soap from scratch. This hands-on workshop provides all the introductory knowledge and materials you need to make 6 bars of your own goat milk soap.
You will learn how to work safely with lye, the science of saponification, a brief history of soap making, a bit of dairy goat husbandry, and why goat milk soap is so nourishing and beneficial to your skin. You will also receive a copy of a goat milk soap recipe so you can continue your soap-making activities at home.



Class Details
Age Requirement: adults and youth 16-17 if a parent or guardian is also registered for the class.
Location: Wade Hardware (400 SW 2nd St)
Students bring: please wear long sleeves, long pants, and closed toe shoes. You are welcome to bring an apron if you wish. Safety gear (goggles, chemical resistant gloves) will be provided, but you are also welcome to bring your own if you wish.
Tuition: $50
