Students and teachers from the October class: Building Greenwood Stools. Over four hard-working weeks, students made stools that will live in Tarweed's classroom for future student use.

What a month! October marked Tarweed's busiest month ever, with 20 total class days. Throughout the month, it was a joy to see so many students and teachers sharing knowledge, swapping stories, and working together!


Tarweed has a lot more fun planned for the coming weeks, and we hope you'll join us! Come see us at the Corvallis Farmers Market on October 4th and learn about building with mud!

With the fall equinox around the corner, we see the acorns starting to drop, mushrooms popping up from forest floors, and beloved Oregon rainbows appearing more and more as we celebrate the return of rain (sweet rain!).


This fall marks one of our biggest seasonal lineups of classes to date, and it is so exciting to witness the many registrations coming in, across a variety of classes. There are still spots left in a number of classes and you can read below to see availability.

"CORVALLIS -- With its fall season underway, Tarweed Folk School still has a variety of September classes open for registration. From Sept. 15–Nov. 3, Kat Edmonds and Nat Stein will guide students through Make a Handcut Dovetailed Bench. This multi-week course focuses on precision woodworking, teaching the timeless skill of cutting dovetail joints by hand to create a functional and beautiful bench."
