I’ve been a professional carpenter in the Corvallis area for 50 years. In 1988, I took a week-long timber framing class from Tedd Benson, cut my first timber frame, and joined the Timber Framers Guild (TFG). The TFG has since been my main source of continuing education and inspiration about timber frame building. I’ve taught and volunteered at many TFG events over the years and enjoy sharing the fundamentals of this ancient craft with others.
