BESPOKE BASIC SEWING: MAKE A PATCHWORK TOP
WITH KRISTINE BERG
Learn to make a simple top of your unique design! Students will begin the first day of class by sewing fabric blocks together, creating color and pattern combinations to please the eye. Everyone will try on a “mock-up” garment in order to find a desired fit (any size between 8 - 30, although we can work out adjustments), and learn to read the pattern and cut fabric to a custom dimension. On the 2nd day, students meet back in the classroom and sew the pieces together, finishing the weekend with a bespoke piece of clothing to add to your wardrobe, made from upcycled fabric or scraps that might otherwise go to waste.
Even if you are brand new to sewing, you are welcome in this class! The teacher will cover the basics of sewing and understanding how to use sewing machines.
