HOJALATA LUMINARIA
WITH JEN HERNANDEZ
Tuesday, December 8th, 2026
5:30 - 8:30pm
In this class, we’ll warm up our winter nights with the Mexican Folk Art, Hojalata Luminaria (punched tin lanterns). We’ll use recycled tin cans and simple hand tools to create little lanterns that will glow and sparkle. Hojalata is a centuries old folk art using thin metal and paints to create colorful decorative art pieces for homes and altars to celebrate life, death and community connection.
