BEAN TO BAR: CHOCOLATE MAKING BASICS

Learn the basics of bean to bar chocolate making. We will explore the process of transforming raw fermented cocoa beans into chocolate, with a focus on how you can do the same in your home kitchen. Along the way we will discuss where cocoa beans come from and how they are processed at the farm before arriving to the chocolate maker. Come prepared to taste lots of chocolate and explore all the amazing flavors and aromas chocolate has to offer.



Class Details
Age Requirement: this class is for adults 18+.
Location: Corvallis Museum
Students bring: a small or medium size stainless steel bowl is helpful to bring if you have one.
Tuition: $50
Materials fee: $30

Accessibility note: most of this class will take place seated, but some standing and kneeling may be involved. Some hand strength and dexterity are helpful.
