Malcolm grew up in New Mexico and has lived in the Willamette Valley since 2011. He is a co-founder, art facilitator, and member of the Elbow Grease hand-tool woodworking collective at Elbow Room, an art studio and gallery supporting artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities in SE Portland. Malcolm spends his free time building furniture and other utilitarian objects from scratch with hand tools from the Japanese and green woodworking traditions.
