Anne Marie Cole grew up in Boston Massachusetts as the elder child of two professional classical musicians. She spent her childhood taking violin and piano lessons, attending art classes and having the privilege of seeing her parents perform on a regular basis. Surrounded by art and music, Anne Marie has had a love of fibers ever since she was a young girl. From playing with her grandmother's opera gloves and sequin dresses to learning how to knit from her Tante Annemarie, Anne Marie became enamored with fibers!
She learned how to needle felt about 20 years ago, just after she became a Waldorf Kindergarten Teacher. Anne Marie has been creating human and animal puppets for many years and started teaching others the art of needle felting about 5 years ago. Anne Marie also has a small business selling her creations and lives in the country with her dog, cat, garden and son where she delights in hearing the creek by her window and staging her creations for photos outside in nature.
