BEGINNING SPOON CARVING WITH ROSE HOLDORF

Class Details

Tuition: $60

Materials fee: $10

 

Students bring: closed-toed shoes, comfortable and durable clothing, and water bottle. Students may choose to bring an apron and their own pair of cut-resistant gloves.

Sunday, July 23rd

9am - 12pm (3 hours)

 

Students will learn how to split freshly cut logs, process the wood into blanks with an axe and saw, and practice several traditional carving grips with a carving and hook knife to whittle their own, handmade spoon. All tools, including safety gloves, will be provided in the class, and students will take home a finishing kit so their spoon is kitchen-ready.

Age Requirement: This class is for adults and youth 12-17 if their parent or guardian is also registered for the class.
