Tarweed Folk School values increasing access to practical arts and place-based skills. Our goal is to make our classes accessible to anyone with an interest in learning. Please consider that our "pop up" style classrooms take place inside and outdoors with varying amenities (think of parking, seating, walking surfaces, and bathroom options, for example). We are happy to provide any information or answer any questions about accessibility or accommodations for any of our classes and locations. Please email us if you have comments, concerns, or questions.

A three-hour course covering maintenance and repair of bicycles, taught by two longtime professional bike mechanics. Our intention is to focus on shifting adjustment, as this is an area that many people find intimidating, but is actually quite feasible for anyone to learn. We will also teach other areas of bike repair upon request. This class has a small class size, so students can expect plenty of one-on-one attention. Bring a bike to fix, or we can supply extra bikes to work on.
Knowing how to fix your own bike is empowering and might get you or your friends out of a jam. Come learn with us!
Age Requirement: This class is for adults and youth 8-17 if their parent or guardian is also registered for the class.
