BEGINNING SPOON CARVING WITH ROSE HOLDORF

Class Details

Students bring: closed-toed shoes, comfortable and durable clothing, and water bottle. Students may choose to bring an apron and their own pair of cut-resistant gloves.

This class is not currently being offered. 

 

 

 

Students will learn how to split freshly cut logs, process the wood into blanks with an axe and saw, and practice several traditional carving grips with a carving and hook knife to whittle their own, handmade spoon. All tools, including safety gloves, will be provided in the class, and students will take home a finishing kit so their spoon is kitchen-ready.

Age Requirement: This class is for adults and youth 12 and above. Please note: ages 12-17 must have a parent or guardian also registered for the class to participate.
