BEGINNING HERBALISM FOR YOUTH

WITH MARTA CAPRILES

In this class, students will take raw plants and transform them into healing concoctions! Using a combination of herbs native to the Willamette Valley and some brought by settlers from Europe, we will make four mixtures over the course of the day: Elderberry syrup, Lemon balm tincture, Fresh herb salve, and Nettle salt. Students will leave with a jar of each of these creations, ideas of how to use them, and a recipe book of how to recreate them at home. Get to know the healing plants that surround us!

Age Requirement: this class is for youth only, ages 10-18.

Location: Bald Hill Farm
