WILLOW AND MIXED BARK BASKETRY
WITH MARGARET MATHEWSON
Learn the basics of willow and mixed bark basketry in a series of simple styles using local colorful weaving materials such as cherry, willow, and other garden barks. This is an intermediate weaving course, so some experience is helpful but not required.
The one-day session includes materials and time to create a small basket or cover for a water bottle or drinking jar. The two-day session includes materials and time to create a larger weaving project, such as a woven backpack or large basket.
Age Requirement: this class is for adults and youth ages 15-17 if their parent or guardian is also registered for the class.
