THE SCYTHE, A BRIEF INTRO TO MANAGING GRASSLAND AND LANDSCAPE WITH THIS VERSATILE, EFFICIENT, AND ENJOYABLE TOOL

WITH KIKO DENZER

We’ll cover all the basics: safety, stance, stroke, sharpening, equipment strategies and choices (rakes, snaths, blades, stones, peening practices and equipment, resources), and basic grass management. Most of the class will be lecture, demo, and Q&A, but everyone will get a chance to swing a blade and try their hand at peening an edge. Please bring your own equipment if you have it!

Kiko's been mowing and managing with a scythe for a couple of decades now. He's never owned a gas mower, and dreams of a day when you never hear anything on Sunday mornings louder than laughter and the swish of a sharp blade thru grass.

Age Requirement: for adults and youth 15-17 if their parent is also registered for the class.
