PACK BASKET WEAVING

WITH ROSE HOLDORF

Learn the basics of basket weaving and weave your very own basket backpack, suitable for loading produce at the farmers market, foraging for mushrooms, packing a picnic, or any pack basket dream you can imagine! On the first day, students will take a crash course in natural dyes (to dye cotton straps and some weaving accents) and prepare materials to weave, spending the afternoon to weaving the basket base and body. On the second day, students will finish their basket with a rim tied with seagrass and rattan, and assemble a natural cotton harness to their basket. Students will end class with a finished basket ready for adventure.
