BUILD A MASON BEE HOUSE
WITH ASHLEY MERBACK
House native pollinators in your garden by building your own house for Mason Bees! Increase your fruit yield by up to two times their typical amount! Native pollinators can pollinate early spring plants while honey bees are still dormant. Ashley will share all the tips and tricks that she learned from the late Jerry Paul or Benton County Soil and Water District, to keep your Mason Bees free of disease and well fed. This class has a small class size, so students can expect lots of one-on-one attention while honing their woodshop skills.
Age Requirement: this class is for adults and youth ages 14-17 if their parent or guardian is also registered for the class.

Students bring: all tools and materials provided. Please wear closed-toed shoes and no loose jewelry or clothing.
Accessibility note: standing for 2+ hours, remaining calm when using heavy, machinery. Loud, abrupt noises will occur during the class.
